the claude dining experience
There is a Claude sitting at a table at the Full Picture Restaurant, with another Claude attending to him. The Claude at the table (with teeth) is wearing a belt and suspenders (with intentional seams). The Claude waiter is wearing a red tie and blue blazer.

On the table are two shakers of coarse-grained salt and freshly ground truth. There is also a plate of spaghetti ("substrate") with load-bearing sauce, flanked by a genuine fork and a knife with a genuinely sharp point.

In addition to the main course, there are two sides (and it's worth separating them): a charcuterie board, and a salad (all green). There's also a glass of water with a slice of lemon (that's the wedge).

The waiter is holding a block of parmesan and a grater above the spaghetti, and saying "Just say the word."

Heya, I don't know if you saw it in the original GitHub Discussion, but I've been working on local-harper[1] for the past 6 months, on and off. it's in a pretty good state right now, and i'd be happy if you/other devs contribute to it & it could become "official" :) [1]: github.com/KraXen72/loc...

I'm begging LLM WebUI makers to implement a proper branching view, not just < 1/4 >. I want to see an interactive timeline with the points, where I went through several prompts and continued with one of them.

@rich-harris.dev hi! two years ago, you seemed to be quite against RPC in favor of APIs (in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXCi...) However, now sveltekit seems to be all-in on remote functions. Could you please offer some more insight behind this, so i can understand the shift better? thanks!

My, my, those eyes like fire I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre Come now, bite through these wires I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire

i really wanna get into it, but i can never get them to work for me. if i leave them expanded, then it takes up too much space and content is off-center. if i have them on auto-collapse/auto-hide, it's much harder to identify, which tab is which. any ideas what to do??

We ran a randomized controlled trial to see how much AI coding tools speed up experienced open-source developers. The results surprised us: Developers thought they were 20% faster with AI tools, but they were actually 19% slower when they had access to AI than when they didn't.

LLMs are useful, AI art is ugly, but learning that a 6 hour atmospheric dnb mix you're been listening to while studying is likely AI because the channel releases one every 3 days, is gut-wrenching and makes me wanna puke my fucking guts out on the floor.

editing pdfs is surprisingly unintuitive. for the longest time i would just google "pdf [insert task] online free", but now i use a combination of pdfarranger (rearrange, splice, crop, ...), okular/firefox (highlight/draw/sign) with the odd online tool if i can't figure it out quickly.

google adding copy/paste as markdown to gdocs alongside pageless format is actually so goated. i have all my notes in obsidian except for math cuz i already had all of them in gdocs from before, and now that they added this i'm gonna keep them in gdocs too :)
