can personally vouch for stickerblitz! it’s a bit pricier but they’re a premium feeling thick vinyl that’s super waterproof. and less than a week TAT! only cons: less finish options than other manus like stickerninja, auto cutlines can be wonky sometimes so you have to correct the auto proof.

these creators don’t deserve brownie points for turning and winking at wlw people. queer interpretations can be lovely, but when an author decides to swoop in and take credit for something they purposefully didn’t say, they get all the benefits w/out the drawbacks of queer rep. very two-faced.

it’s so frustrating, it makes creators feel justified in giving people who desperately want more queer rep (especially lesbians, where subtext instead of text is often insulting or basically nonexistent to the majority of an audience,) just the tiniest of crumbs. crumbs don’t mean shit as real rep.

What sucks too is that often MT+PE is often *more* work for linguists to clean up, especially if there’s a mix of previously translated content next to the MT. MT is just a waste of time and money imo. Linguists deserve so much more respect for their multifaceted work!!

The amount of customers that want AI-generated text in foreign language(s) without human proofreading is staggering. Linguists see the writing on the wall— work is outsourced as cheap as possible and development is “move fast + break things.” All in the name of profit. The comic feels too real 🙃

I work for a tr + loc company (non-linguistic work), and they’re downsizing in favor of AI and touchless workflows while piling work on people who don’t get paid their worth for absorbing what was left behind by dissolved teams. Feels like riding a sinking ship with no lifeboat.
