That's really what was most disappointing to read here, was the way the union movement was read as a rug-pull against tenured or senior staff, and how ineligible staff seemed to not understand that eligibility was not a static thing, and that union policy would end up protecting them as well.

A union at your company is not a betrayal of your trust. It is a codified sign of trust between you and the people who work for you. Yes it's also to protect them, but the existence of it is a net positive. And especially in America, the union is always at a disadvantage anyway.

The only positive way I could spin this for Double Fine is that, yeah, Union laws are kinda (intentionally) designed like crap, and a lot of people- especially Americans- don't really understand how unions function and what their presence means for communication and whatnot.

Yes I've tried that and we then don't post anything. See nearly any post from the safety account as an example.
Users keep demanding policy explanations daily and then make up their own random stories when there's usually an objective and repeatable process on our end (since we train mods).
