[ai/llms] a lot of these people seem to have this idea that AI/LLMS/etc are going to unilaterally solve all the earth's problems. the thing is, we already have solutions! we just lack the will to implement them, as humans. people frame political problems as a simple lack of tech and they are NOT!

MIL chose the worst possible ornament to steady the cat tree in the distant corner visible just at the top of the stairs. waltzed upstairs a bit drunk the other night with a dim light and get startled by this fucker. i thought it was a duende straight up. didnt fck around. got ready to punt.

We have 3 cats and they're all so different and I love them all. one of our boys is the most talkative cuddly guy basically all the time. our little girl is such a silent little warrior though who only speaks when she needs something. all cats are so themselves, love them so much.

just got hit with a vivid memory, circa age 14, in church (methodist, midwestern USA) - communion sunday! (once a month for us.) bread made fresh with a machine at the front. pastor's earnest prayer was interrupted by the bread alarm which they forgot to mute. never had fresh communion bread again.
