Sick and tired of institutions capitulating and moving goalposts even when it comes to values they claim to espouse. How did they go 100 steps back so easily? Confirms suspicions that they probably never meant it in the first place.

Said the same in my feedback on the proposed changes. CSWE’s capitulation puts faculty in states like mine in danger. Those explicit standards are our only protection. I’m really angry CSWE is not upholding social work ethical obligations to the profession.

It's so disappointing, and yet not at all surprising. Particularly how the surrender & anticipatory compliance has been in part led by scholars positioning themselves as the defenders of "classical liberalism" & their visions of science, objectivity, & professional neutrality. Reactionary centrism.

An image of a campus quad from an older time has a queen filter. It's broken by thick white lines into rounded triangles and trapezoids that perfectly fit together. Scattered across the images are the words "Echoes in the Quad"

The water angle gets overlooked here. PFAS don't stop at the discharge point, they move into soils and crops through irrigation. Reuse schemes built downstream inherit the problem, and most national reuse standards don't regulate these compounds at all.
