I spent some time this week with my staunchly MAGA Dad. You know its bad out there when we are agreeing with each other on the basics! People can't take care of their health, they can't buy food, they can't afford homes, they aren't being represented by their government, and its unacceptable!

My Visible app has given me a stability score of 2 out of 5 today, so no No Kings event for me today. 🫩 I really wish that my body, my life, and the greater world would align to let me go to these things. I feel like I am breaking a promise that I made to myself. Disability can happen to anyone.

Having been asked here is a handy list of things to be aware of re: disabled protesters Rule one: I cannot physically make myself smaller to thread through a crowd. Ergo, if said crowd wants to make sure I cannot participate all they have to do is not care and I'll get hit in the face a lot.

Please remember that many disabled people won’t be at the No Kings rallies tomorrow. A lot of the planned events are not accessible and/or disabled people are not safe or well enough to attend. Anything you can do to increase accessibility and inclusion will help the resistance!

Something I want to remind y’all about alt text for images: You don’t have to do it perfectly. You just have to try. It makes your skeets more accessible to people who want to participate but who also need extra support to do so. People are also more likely to rs if you use alt text.
