It's still early days, but it is nice to be able to answer my "ARGGH WHY AM I LIKE THIS?" with "AuDHD, remember, you've got a note and everything" I've got a note and everything! Shut up, brain!

I suppose it's a thing that happens with age, but when I reach for a thing at an even slightly awkward angle, bits of my arm make an audible pinging sound and some other bits fall off and just now a different bit caught fire?

Here it is.
diet. Would it not be better if they spent more money on wholesome things like oranges and wholemeal bread or if they even, like the writer of the letter to the New Statesman, saved on fuel and ate their carrots raw?
Yes, it would, but the point is that no ordinary human being is ever going to do such a thing. The ordinary human being would sooner starve than live on brown bread and raw carrots. And the peculiar evil is this, that the less money you have, the less inclined you feel to spend it on wholesome food. A millionaire may enjoy breakfasting off orange juice and Ryvita biscuits; an unemployed man doesn't. Here the tendency of which I spoke at the end of the last chapter comes into play.
When you are unemployed, which is to say when you are underfed, harassed, bored and miserable, you don't want to cat dull wholesome food. You want something a little bit "tasty". There is always some cheaply pleasant thing to tempt you. Let's have three pennorth

Temperature tree update: it's finally getting cooler! #embroidery
Embroidered tree with one leaf coloured per day. Cold days are coloured blue or green, through to very hot days being an alarming purple.

I thought it was Cher Lloyd, but only because I saw something in a cast behind the scenes video that they really wanted to do a sketch about Cher Lloyd on X Factor and I assumed this must be it!

Stickers, iron-on transfers for t-shirts or embroidered patches would be awesome. But I'd chuck money just to be able to listen to series 2. I covet a t-shirt that just says "Wilder, you cunt" because @brainmage.bsky.social's line reading of that makes me crease up every time

Yes, this is a great idea! Or an iron-on transfer for the sensory appropriate t-shirt of your choice.

Finally getting an ADHD/autism assessment thanks to a bit of a nudge from #ItsASuperpower and a lot of a nudge from some "the NTs are at it again" fuckery at work for which it would be useful to officially have a protected characteristic. Anyway I just did the AQ50 and got 43

Wide awake and jetlagged. Took a Nytol two hours ago and can't sleep but do occasionally think I can see a spider darting about on the floor, but when I look closely there isn't one. Oh no. Should I expect the hat man?

48 hours and counting travelling now! Including our plane literally being switched off and on again, and the pilot delaying landing so that he could draw a cock and balls with the flight path. But I've made it to Heathrow, and the It's A Superpower final episode was FUCKING AWESOME
