ICE cannot do what it’s doing without local law enforcement. They need their manpower and infrastructure. That means if you want to stop ICE you are going to have to confront police collaboration and police power. I’m sorry but progressive hopes of avoiding this conflict are a recipe for failure.

I think this type of simplistic thinking should disqualify you from holding office/power. There’s no way you could know this, it misunderstands complexity which IS our world, it is naive, it perpetuates short term linear laziness. We should fund all avenues of educational experience as top priority.

Owner class has always controlled the US gov (with exceptions). The beauty of this admin is its overt billionaire leadership. You get to see what private business does. 1) Make working people’s lives more difficult. 2) Make it impossible to expect any consistency. Not great for the average worker.

I think the AI folks believe what they’re saying (not solely propaganda). I also think it is useful to constantly warn about future death and destruction from AI as a way to pull attention away from current harms. Specifically in the US use case.
