I mainly use that one when it avoids confusion comparing it with the US remake "In The Ring, Samara is a child, but in Ringu, Sadako is an adult" is quicker to say than "In the US remake of The Ring, Samara is a child, but in the original Japanese version Sadako is an adult"

The Lemkin Institute (named for the guy who coined the term genocide) has repeatedly warned the US is engaged in trans genocide. The US is currently on step 8 of the 10 steps of genocide. Mass extermination starts on step 9. But Bluesky says you can tell the trannies to enjoy the camps.

Aaron Rodericks posted: Are they threatening trans users directly? No. Trans folks in the US have been targeted repeatedly. That's awful and you have my sympathy.

Within the context of a single post we wouldn't consider it a direct threat or targeting a protected category. le send trans folks to concentration camps.

Ms. Rachel post:
"Ed Sheeran had an opportunity show that we won't be bullied into punishing people for supporting Palestine. Instead he caved to people who refuse to accept what the world knows. A genocide is happening in Gaza. We all need to speak out against it.

"If more than 20,000 white children were killed in another part of the world, everyone would be shouting about it at their concerts. Treating some children's lives as less worthy of outrage is racist. Silence during a genocide is not neutral."

the entire reason the gaming industry is so dogshit right now is the domino effect from "putting aside" lootboxes. "putting aside" any controversy only serves to benefit from the people causing it, this isn't new and we shouldn't "let it slide sometimes"

I feel like Asymmetrical Games are a heavily underutilized genre, none of them have really taken off aside from Dead by Daylight and most of them are themed around horror when you could also do stuff like having a player control the director in L4D

Knowing if a character's ultimate struggle is facing off against the mayor or the president can really help shape the tone for everything, in a sense of getting an idea of how big the MC's impact on the world should be. Have a general idea of how big the stakes should be

000

Sliver @sliver1002.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Adding on to this, sometimes getting an idea of the scale of the work in mind early on can help narrow down concepts Say your character is anti authority, are they struggling with the local government? Their country? Their planet? God himself?

Hideki Naganuma left Sega in 2008 and JSR got an HD Port in 2012 with only 3 licensed songs missing

110

Sliver @sliver1002.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

I think it also complicates things since the songs all segue into each other most of the time, so they'd have to scrap a ton of transitions and either have the songs stop and start or create new transitions I think the sewer level would have only one track remaining too

110

Sliver @sliver1002.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

JSRF isn't happening because a good chunk of the soundtrack was licensed from Grand Royal Records (run by the Beastie Boys), which went bankrupt shortly after the game released. Every Non-Sega Song (Hideki Naganuma or Richard Jacques) except Birthday Cake had them involved
