If vote share equated to sense of self importance, the Greens would have a majority of 650. Give your heads a wobble.

I live in a safe Labour seat, and I'm nearly always a Labour voter, but I would vote tactically Green or Libdem in a heartbeat if it kept a Con/Ref/Res candidate out. In a heart beat, and I'm pretty sure a lot of other people would to. Tactical voting is how we beat them. We're more flexible I think

Q: How do you define socialism personally? JD VANCE: I think in reality what it actually means in the American context is you want to replace American workers with foreigners workers, and you want boys to play in girls' sports

"Does the UK want to reopen the bitter Brexit debate?" asks Vicki Young. There is a way of reviewing our relationship with Europe that does not reopen "the bitter Brexit debate", which I think is underpriced. We could all be honest and agree that Brexit was a shit idea.

Excellent work as always but this is a tough sell to the knuckle draggers and nonce bonnets. Giving a quid to Pakistan is a quid that isn't being spent on one of our own, let alone £100 million (which is the only figure they will ever see) Sigh.

Reform UK has now lost 168 councillors: 60 resigned, 43 went Independent, 29 defected, 24 were kicked out, 5 lost their seats, 5 are suspended and 2 were disqualified. Brian Smith led the group on North Tyneside and is now an Independent. Durham reaches 16 departures.

What? I said the Greens are taking left wing votes, not right wing ones. You said prove it. I provided stats showing that the boost in Green numbers is mostly down to disgruntled Labour voters. Good bye.

Hubris seems to be stalking them, I've recently been in a thread where Green supporters view Zack as the king maker in the next GE, and entirely responsible for Burnham's more left wing than was possibly expected speech.

No, but very happy to be proved wrong if you have opposing evidence. I just can't imagine loads of tories and Reformers going green. It's mainly disillusioned Corbynistas, some of whom may return to Labour under Burnham

Wow, giving yourselves an awful lot of credit there 😅 Labour tacking left, with a new leader, towards the Greens is obviously a good thing, and far better than the Mahmood flavoured lurch to the right, but putting it (All? Some) down to Green voters is a bit of a stretch.

What could be pivotal is how open Green voters are to tactical voting. There seems to be a zealousness to a lot of Greens, which is great, but we haven't got PR, and you're taking left and centre votes, not right wing ones. Labour, Liberal and Green voters need to work together

A man builds an IED. He sets it off in a busy public street. Shrapnel flies about hitting cars, homes and a child's bedroom. It's a miracle nobody is injured. And Reform MP Sarah Pochin calls his imprisonment "disproportionate" and "two tier justice."
It does raise this point of two-tiered
justice..

Reform's Sarah Pochin believes the
sentence handed to the 64-year-old who
blew up a ULEZ camera was
disproportionate'.
