Mariokart Wii is weirdly like way more vertically dynamic feeling than Mariokart 8 even though 8 is the "anti-gravity" Mariokart.
8 keeps anti-grav parts of the tracks rather flat and static, guess they don't want you falling into the sky. Where in Wii there's a lot more "Kart platforming".
