Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 2hAs a trans woman I spec’d really hard into music and fighting games but never into Gundam Gunpla or tabletop gaming I DO fulfill the “magical girl was pretty brain chemistry altering as a kid” stereotype though 000
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 2hOnce I watch enough Gundam and more older Magical Girl I can feel qualified to say how “Eva and PMMM are good because they’re subversions of the genre” are such dumb statements because they also feel like such fundamental misunderstandings of mecha and magical girl 100
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 2hRevisiting Madoka Magica after only a year ago watch and I’m like dude::… this really is fuckin goated 010

Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 15hI love when they play Fuwa Fuwa Time 500 times in K-On and it’s incredible every single time 010
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 02/10/2026It’s jarring to me being in fandom nsfw spaces for years that are so openly celebratory of trans bodies that this wave of newer fandom folks that are so openly weirded about trans feminine bodies specifically stand out so much, it’s tough not to get mega bummed about it 020
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 01/10/2026The amount of people that have alerted me the new Asian lady in Deadlock is also named Violet 040
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 22/09/2026REALLY enjoying Ultra Despair Girls so far, the yuri is some good fuckin food 020

Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 20/09/2026Got really nervous abt the Grouper show being a seated general admission show for ambient music but I think we’re good 030
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Actually not that weird, if I recall correctly the original dot hack games were already starting to become rare by the time they were pushing the GU series so I started there even though I had watched Sign and Roots and LootT 020
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 17/09/2026Jak and Ratchet series I’ve been like a million times because I was a huge platformer girl during this era…. Dot hack though… weird case where I’ve played all of the GU games but never touched this original series until now… 130
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Watched some Kurasawa at midnight and now I can’t sleep 010
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 11/09/2026The technology divides omg… dvd vcrs and cds…growing up memorizing your friends and family’s phone numbers… a room dedicated to a single computer where the internet existed…instead of being in your pocket😵💫 110
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Oh god the divide between people who have no recollection of the Bush Admin is also so jarring for me who was born in 93. All I ever knew was anti bush sentiment and the Iraq war which you can really tell by Trump being people’s first openly evil president they can vivdly recall 010
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 11/09/2026I’m not necessarily afraid of getting old really, but I do get very reflective and introspective on The Passage of Time so I’m always deeply fascinated by huge generational divides like this 220
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Ngl it’s extremely jarring working with so many people who are in their mid to late twenties / professionals and out of college for years come up to you and are like, yeah I have zero recollection if at all of this 9/11 you speak of 130
Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 10/09/2026My favorite Kirk fun fact remains that the song was conceived only five days after it happened it just didn’t massively go viral until November 140

Violet!! @sleepertimbre.bsky.social · 08/09/2026All of this stems from the fact that like Ocarina of Time is like already THE most played Zelda of all time and already has a remake like I hateeeee remake culture man 020
