They've recently begun migrating their email system so there are some bugs (eg some of us not getting some emails, and I just got one about a file update that would've been months ago). I just had a conversation today with someone at Kobo about it.

Every province has its own requirements!

Again. The reason I have harped on about Atthis Arts and Emily (EDE) Bell for well over a year now is because she is in a position of power and the below is an example of that abuse of power against *one of her still under contract to this day authors.*

People being quiet about her will not stop her, it just gives her cover to continue to operate as she has been. There are people carefully staying out of public discussions, not "liking" posts critical of her (which we know she monitors), and she still ends up targeting them! So yeah, harp on it.🤷‍♀️

And she still has power over authors under contract whether she's on Bluesky or not. I'm sure some of them are fine with her but plenty of others are fucking terrified. The people who *are* in a position to make noise about this have to for all the people who can't. This is how community help.

I know people are tired, but as you say, she's learned nothing. She's not on Bsky not to get help but in the hopes people will forget about her continued behaviour, because she used to take breaks after she publicly fucked up in the hopes it would blow over before reappearing and starting again.

I've been using Gusta for tacos and it's...fine? Gusta tends to stick together though, I hope the new Yves has the same texture as the previous stuff.

I liked the ground rounds for tacos. I've been using Gusta and they're fine. I didn't really do the deli slices, which is mostly what's been brought back--I just liked the "chicken" burgers and pepperoni. Maybe they'll expand it over time.

Shawn is…okay, we’ve got it confirmed he has pandora syndrome so he has an abnormal stress response that can affect multiple organs. We lost my elderly boy Rodney in August so he’s had a lot of stress to manage. Here was last week’s checkup while stoned.

Even then, it’s a big commitment—I know some were enthusiastic getting into around the third, but then a year to wait for 4, a year for 5, etc, some did fall out of it. Several years from now book 12 will drop for the half dozen remaining readers so they can finish their murder boards at last lol.
