Shawn is…okay, we’ve got it confirmed he has pandora syndrome so he has an abnormal stress response that can affect multiple organs. We lost my elderly boy Rodney in August so he’s had a lot of stress to manage. Here was last week’s checkup while stoned.

A few hours into Townfall and I know eventually stealth gets annoying but so far I’m enjoying it. Excellent tense sound design, the town has real character, and the visuals are beautiful. Some medical and body horror which I love because bodies are horrifying anyway.

Finished Control Resonant (not 100% but the story and most side quests) and it is VERY important you know that—SPOILER ALERT—nothing bad happens to the dog and she lives in your apartment later with her toy.

I have not met the dog again yet but very important update: NOTHING BAD HAPPENS TO THE CAT. In fact, you can tell off the FBC agent who doesn’t even want to look for the cat.

Note while you CAN eat the mould in Control Resonant you CANNOT pet the dog you meet later (yet?). You CAN, however, bring the dog a toy that she wants, so I’ll allow it.

I know it’s not the Livi novel people wanted but I’m still proud of myself for doing this.

Before she was the brazen, confident treasurer hunter seen in Solomon's Seal, Livi Talbot was a struggling single mom. Living with a Prince Charming who is anything but, holding onto a hated waitressing job as her last vestige of self-sufficiency, and isolated from her remaining friends, life has become a trap Livi can't find a way out of.
Her distant archaeologist older brother has a small, simple consultation job for her, however, that will take her to Wales for just a few days. Maybe it's the perspective the distance offers, maybe it's the pay, or maybe it's just the brief promise of escape, but not only does she accept the proposal, but makes her case to stay and help his team search for the mythical sword Dynwyn. The uncharted cave system where it allegedly resides is dangerous, but it isn't as though she believes all her brother's stories of the Magic Pulse from six months earlier activating relics of legend.
Told in chapters alternating between Livis determined solo venture to find the sword as well as team members missing in a cave-in and the steps that led her there, Rhyderch's Swordis both an adventurer's origin story as well as a reclamation of self, autonomy, and hope.

It's really neat, if you know what you're doing when designing, you can have a design that goes from book to book--I experimented with the Waverly print boxset.

Look, I know how many of you are watching Widow's Bay and into quirky, strange towns--this is right up your alley. And! The character sheet default is large text to be friendly for those with vision impairment--if you've given up on hard-to-read games, this will be refreshing.

A couple of other photos of the test copy, the sprayed edges are really crisp, the interior colours pop, and the foiling on the hardback came out great.
