Last night's Reds game was the perfect example of the pitcher win stat being overrated. Lodolo had 2 outs in the 5th in a tie game with 2 on. One more out and he would have got a win. Tito leaves him in even though he walked the last batter and hit the one before. Instead of a win he got a loss.

Today's Reds win was their 3rd ever win after trailing going into the 9th inning by 6 runs or more. The first two occurred in 1958 and 1918. Coincidentally both happened on May 8. Of course I'm not old enough to remember either one but I'm sure @psr1973.bsky.social remembers both games.

That was a perfect example of what's wrong with this team. Burke has been pitching well but he's got a .237 hitter 0-2 with 2 outs and walks him. Next batter drives home the runner from 2nd who was put there by the walk.

My step-daughter scored a couple of tickets for the game tonight tonight. While having a couple of adult beverages at the Holy Grail and this guy comes up to us and asks if we wanted a couple Champions Club tickets. So we are in da club enjoying free food.

Watching an old movie called Blues In The Night about a jazz group. Their pianist, "Jigger"has a breakdown and goes to the hospital. There's some sort of montage which includes his hospital record. It has "Jigger" as his name like it's his real name. Was that his grandfather's name? 😅

Got into an argument with an usher tonight. We were sitting in the front row down the LF line tonight. During pre-game and parts of the game several kids went right up to the railing and sometimes it was tough to watch the game. The usher and public safety did an OK job at first but in the 9th 1/2

Played my first vintage base ball game of the season today. 3rd inning one of the other team's guys hit a ball and ran to 1st. He must have slipped or something and he ended up breaking his right ankle. He wasn't wearing cleats and we thought that was the reason why he slipped. 😮🙏

It's only a matter of days or weeks until my father passes. The thing is I don't feel a lot of grief. I don't think that's normal. To put some context into it, he left my mom about 27 years ago. On their 40th anniversary. Our relationship since then went from non-existent to cordial. 1/2

Oddly enough I was looking at people I blocked and muted and there were several in there that were blocked/muted that I have no recollection of doing so. Unfortunately @psr1973.bsky.social wasn't one of them. It wasn't like I was following them, but there wasn't any reason to block/muted them.
