Hello #dvparty. Here's my mood board for my YA fantasy pitched as FOR SHE IS WRATH x LA LLORONA which a girl wakes 500 years after her murder to a town that believes she's the ghost haunting their river.

A 9 image mood board. Top left photo is a close up of a girl wearing a veil and a hand over her face. Top center is a close up of a table with a candle in the center with folded napkins in glasses lining the table. Top right is a silhouette of a girl tilting her head back. Center left is a girl swimming in water in overcast skies. Center photo is a close up of dying roses with pink and blue hues. Center right is a girl in a flowy dress kneeling down to three candles on the floor. Bottom left is a close up of a communion cup next to a glass vase and a candle. Bottom center is a river under dark skies which the river cuts through a rocky landscape. Bottom right zooms in on a stained glass window of a brown stone wall with carved molding.

Meet Bea from my upmarket contemporary w/ romantic arc SHAMELESSLY WANTING. She’s a librarian moonlighting as a camgirl, trying her best not to fall apart when her online persona is exposed—complicated by a board member’s censorship campaign and a too cute for his own good boss. #DVParty

Collage for a character intro.

SHAMELESSLY WANTING, Upmarket Contemporary w/ Romantic Arc (87k) by Frankie Joy

BEA: gummy bear fueled, anxious avoidant, narrating her life in lipgloss.

SOME GIRLS WOULD SAY THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE WORTH-SHE DID. MOVIE NIGHT AND LINGERIE $25. MORNING O $10. BOUNCING IN SHEER$20.

HELP! I'VE FALLEN INTO A REASONABLY FORESEEABLE CRISIS OF MY OWN MAKING ..AND I CAN'T GET UP!

AND WHY SHOULDN'T HE WITH WHAT SHE WAS: MELTED ICE CREAM. BURNT TOAST. SOMETHING SOURED ON THE COUNTER.

Background is graph paper and cutout pink paper with sparkles and doodles. Character art of Bea. She is white with brown hair and eyes. She’s in front of a window with light behind her. She’s wearing a dark purple lacy bra.

#DVParty RAPTURE OF THE DEEP where divers explore the icy waters of Europa and don't know what they might find... with @noah-oliver.bsky.social (who also made this lovely moodboard--pictures from unsplash, definition from Wiktionary).

A nine-panel moodboard that depicts a hole in ice leading to the ocean. A lone scuba diver swimming away. A jellyfish. The jaws of a fish with sharp teeth. The definition of thalassophobia (Thalassophobia (n.) 1. a morbid fear of the sea). A dead fish with its jaw wide. A macro image of jellyfish tentacles. The wreck of a boat in the water looming in the distance. A deep crevasse in ice with a bit of snow falling into it. The images are all dark blues and greens, evoking a sense of dread.

Scream Queens x Divergent in PROJECT GLITCH A romantic dystopian heist with 🕷️ Rival gangs 👾 Cyberpunk setting 🫆 Forced proximity 🖤 Morally grey characters 🕸️ A lethal, cult-like girl gang #QuestPit #W #NA #A #D Querying this fall <3

List of tropes:
Dystopian, romance, heist
Teenage lovers to unaccounted for for many years, to rival gang members actually trying to kill each other to reluctant allies to lovers again???
Idk, it’s complicated..
Cyberpunk
Forced proximity
is it a gang or is it a cult?
Anything can be a murder weapon if you try hard enough
tending to wounds

All that stands between Aranea and her initiation into the Coven—the gang of women notorious for killing corrupt men and their own ex-boyfriends—is a bullet in her own ex's brain. Only, when her first boyfriend suddenly turns up alive after seven years with no trace, killing him doesn't prove entirely as easy as the rest. But when it's revealed that he's part of a rival gang and leading a heist to steal vital information from a famously impenetrable city–with the potential to save or obliterate their corrupt world–she must first infiltrate the heist and take the information for her own gang. Without letting old resurfacing feelings threaten the mission.

Opening lines:
Eyes on the target. Awaiting orders to shoot." I tighten my grip on the rifle.
The breeze sweeps some brown stray hairs over my eyes as I follow the target through my scope—Raymond, 25, male, with dark shaggy hair and a bag slung over his shoulder. Also known as my second ex-boyfriend.
"Awaiting orders to shoot," I repeat. My trigger finger burns to move.
The traffic drums in the background—car horns ring through the dirty air between dilapidated skyscrapers. Raymond dabs up one of the bouncers across the street. I track his every move; when he steps back to let a group pass by, when he scratches the five o'clock shadow on his chin, when he nods towards the entrance door two steps ahead of them. All that stands between me and my official initiation into the Coven, is one bullet in his brain.

"I fear the withdraw of us will be worse than any drug."
