No, in later years it might have just been called Rogers, that's an educated guess but I watched a YouTube video they are the same. It's a beautiful looking set and the materials are right, but I'm thinking an older set is higher maintenance. As cool as it is, maybe I should shy away from it (?)

Thanks for the reply Mark Something I like about Yamaha is that the stands & mounting equipment are the same from intermediate to pro. That said there's a Rodger Fullerton set from the mid 70s for sale with a maple & birch combo contruct. Any memories of this maker from our youth? Made in California

Yamaha Stage Custom Birch is what I keep coming back to. I see a couple of used sets in my area, but not with a 20" base. Also seeing a good deal on a Pearl set, but again, 22" base drum :/

@realmarkrez.bsky.social Hi Mark! I wanted to reach out to you for a quick bit of help if possible. Honestly, your focus might be so tuned to higher quality, you may not know the answer to this. But I was wondering if you could suggest a quality starter or intermediate kit with a 20 inch base drum?

PS: and by didn't make it I mean, didn't stop just to get picked up by marvel or DC. I'm talking about something that briefly lived and then died a horrible death 😂 1) the fat ninja 2) thunder mace 3) Samurai penguin 4) Miami mice 5) preteen, dirty jeaned, Kung Fu kangaroos

My recent submission for top shelf Friday, which was a recent pickup had me thinking; if you remember TMNT comics as new, then you remember EVERYONE pushing out an independent comic. So, what was your top five indie comic that didn't make it to 10 issues? I'll list mine below.

In a perfect world we could get together for an X-Men & ASM show & tell :))

Thanks :) I can't remember if I have #5. I have to deep dive into my longboxes to find out.

These were like a 1989 reprise (?) if my old memory serves. I think I have 3 issues, but I could be wrong.

For my TSF, I submit this recent $5 pick up. Thundermace #6 from RAK Graphics. Like most 80s kids, I fell down the rabbit hole of independent published comics after the TMNT craze. This was one of my favorites. Getting #1-4 isn't too hard, the last two issues (5&6) in good shape is a different story

Why does he have to cut the crocodile? After all, the crocodiles didn't mosey on over to "people's lair. Crocodiles just be crocodilin' 😂

Remembering Joe Kubert on his 100th birthday The first drawing I ever hung up in my room was a copy I made of Joe‘s cover for "Justice Inc." Looking at that cover now, it's easy to see why I was enthralled by it. It had a sense of danger that wasn't present in the other comics I was reading.
