Politics is whether we should raise taxes to pay for the creation of a public transit system or whether money should go to pay for more libraries or tax refunds. Politics is not debating whether other humans deserve to live without being terrorized or whether federal agents can abduct you.

Came here to say the same! I'm a WFH lawyer & once had to tell the judge I had to step away for minute in the middle of a court hearing bc i glanced over to see my cat was caught up & while trying to get free, was just tightening the cord on his neck & lifting himself off the back of the couch.

I'm shocked that so many kids can just... not do the assignment. We got Fs if we didn't do the reading bc there were tests & book reports & whatnot that required us to have read the book. This is sad it's so common for so many to just not do the reading

Tomorrow I am going to an aerial silks class & I'm very excited! I did the classes a number of years ago & had to stop after I strained my rotator cuff but I'm going to start up again bc i loved it.
