I’ve been genuinely shocked by the resurgence and casual usage of homophobic language over the past couple of years. Given that my baseline for comparison is Ireland in the 1980s, that’s quite a threshold. Contrary to popular opinion, this is a really tough time to be an LGBT+ child/young person.
