October is pregnancy and infant loss awareness month. When I was 10 my cousin Rebecca died at 4 days old. Almost 36 years ago. I was only her cousin but it was a loss that has shaped the rest of my life. It changed our family forever. I hope you are not aware and if you are I hold you in my heart.

My son used this course when it was new to help prepare for TMUA and said a mock test would make it even better - so your students are lucky enough to have the even better version 😁

In #MathsToday Yr 2 #AlevelMaths explored modulus functions using this MEI desmos activity. Some good discussions were had and they surprised themselves with how much they could work out. When the lesson ended and they hadn’t quite finished a student told me it was fun and he didn’t want to stop 😀

What Would Happen if I Changed the Question?
After completing a worked example on the board, one of my favourite questions to ask is, “What would happen if I changed the question?” More specifically, point to a number or term within the quest…

I am a proud Mum. What a summer with a first in Computer Science for the eldest, A*A*A for number 2 and smashing GCSEs for number 3. And more importantly they are all really great people who spent as much time worrying about their friends as themselves ❤️

Another results day tomorrow for us - no. 3 gets GCSE results. I am so proud of her and I genuinely only want her to be proud of herself. After A level results day was incredibly difficult last week please hope for a peaceful one for us. Maths, Psychology and Criminology A levels are the dream 🤞

It's been a tricky week. With incredible A level results of A*A*A and a good TMUA score my son still didn't secure a place at his first choice university. However his insurance offer is at a blinking brilliant university and means he will be able to continue with dance. MMath here he comes #proud 😍💪

I hate car insurance. Someone reversed into our parked car and admitted fault. Our insurance has gone up by 25% despite it being a "notification only" claim because their insurance is paying for everything. Absolutely ridiculous.
