I'm nearly through with the retraining and got a job lined up. I just hate that the last three months of it have to be so fucking tight. if this had happened at the start of the retraining, there'd been no chance for me to finish it while still making rent.

fuck me. student loan bank unexpectedly charged me for 256€ despite being in vocational retraining. gave them the paperwork showing my low income, which is grounds for a respite in repayment. they took A MONTH to send me an automated rejection, then charged me AGAIN. that's 190€ left for October..🤬😭

maybe... but in my gamedev experience, "make a simple" is code for starting another pet project which inevitably gets a massive scope creep and never gets finished. no reason not to do it, mind you. the Godot editor does have a scrolling list for a reason...

or just have a neat coil ready in a pocket. doesn't take hours to fix to your backpack, doesn't degrade the backpack strap's cushioning, and doesn't pose a risk of tangling on branches etc.

and Starkiller is just stupidly over powered - in cutscenes that is. I think it's a fine idea to have him be this unexpectedly strong kid. and the clone plot from the second game also work well in that regard. but if the mf can throw star destroyers by act 1...

I have a love-hate relationship with those games. on the one hand they have really good art, some decent writing and acting, and even some neat tech and a couple good levels. and then half of them is a broken tech demo and combat that would've flows like morning traffic
