I could make a scrapbook of photos of people parking in the La Brea bus lanes during designated bus only hours. And no, these weren’t a few minutes past 4 PM. These were deep into peak hours.

Burbank, CA folks: this is likely the last chance to get Burbank City Council on board with Metro’s original plans for the NoHo to Pasadena BRT Project: side-running lanes with street parking preserved. They currently support mixed-flow lanes along Olive Ave., but that defeats the purpose of BRT 🚨🚌🚏

Mr. Charlie’s is as good as everyone says it is, but it’s in one of the worst places imaginable to get to by transit: on La Brea near Melrose Ave. The D extension will make it slightly easier, but it’ll still be a 212 bus trip north.

LAX and LAWA have done a horrible job educating the public about their changes. A lot of people think the only way to get to LAX is drive yourself or rideshare. I’ll bet most of LA doesn’t even know about the APM, or the relocations and closures that will be occurring because of said APM.

LAWA approved a motion at their last meeting to begin moving the remaining car rental companies into the ConRAC by mid March. Currently only the Avis family of companies (Avis, Budget, Payless, Zipcar) are in there.

Good: LAX will increase TNC/rideshare fees in the terminal horseshoe when the new SkyLink to divert traffic from the horseshow. Rates are currently $4 per trip. The goal is to reduce traffic in the horseshoe, yet the airport is still building the "LAX-pressway." @awalkerinla.bsky.social

I wish I was in Los Angeles during the early days of the Red Line just to see the differences in station architecture. I did visit during the 1999 Rose Parade, but wasn't cognizant enough to realize what I was looking at.
