#BOPA2026 Pharmacokinetics modelling - My reservation with saying dose banding sits above BSA in the hierarchy is that this depends on the width of the bands. If you band small-medium-large then yes that's in that hierarchy. If you are using the ± 6% variance we use... It's the same level

As with my #AI 🧵from #BOPA2026 there is a Real World Outcomes #RWO/#RWE theme running through some posters. I notice people don't know where to put these - are they audit (but against what standard?), are they research (but are the results generalisable?) or should they have their own category?

The #BOPA2026 posters are not short of #AI studies. Now we can argue for or against the use of #ArtificialIntelligence in these settings but there are some eye catching time savings for the use of these #LLM's so it's no surprise people are keen to see what they can deliver.

Some initial thoughts on posters from #BOPA2026. 1️⃣ The visuals on some of the posters have absolutely moved on from 10 years ago. I assume AI (LLM's) are part of that. But excellent to see some high quality postering and less of the 3D Excel Chart copied into a word document and stretched

Presenting my work on real-world outcomes for patients with mHSPC treated with enzalutamide at #BOPA2026 this year. If you've ever had doubts about the effect on outcomes of dose reducing, hopefully this will help to reassure! Patients on dose reductions did at least as well as those without.

Excellent question from Helen about EPS of medicines from secondary care. But - 1. We need that to work for low risk SACT (cdk46 etc) 2. We need chief pharmacist to not freek out about the costs EPS needs to be in SACT prescribing systems folks!! #BOPA2026

#BOPA2026 Dare I ask if there is protected funding in secondary care. Should the Q have been sector agnostic? Most of us were disappointed that the Cancer plan didn't recognise the increased pressure caused by the numerous new approvals. There is no measure of delivery of any of this.

Probably 18 months ago - maybe more - the fabulous team at #OpenPrescribing shared their beta of Open Hospital Prescribing one of the first things I did was take a look at CDK4/6i use to see if there was a noticeable shift in use - post OS data being published. Since then - we've been working on 👇🏻

I've written to 'Thr Oncologist' because I think it's really important we try to keep the record clear - if there is an interaction with PPIs and palbociclib, the only evidence if for the old capsule formulation. doi.org/10.1093/onco... If we get generics and they are capsules that could matter.
