You could even do a little tremolo at the frog to wear down that surface some before full strokes. And the frog does need a little more rosin - but that’s my opinion. 100

You can do some light scratches but if you scratch too much the rosin will become too powdery not distribute evenly on the bow. 100

A good thing to look for is the color of the now hair. If it is too yellow, probably under-rosined. 100

Then, for maintenance: after a few hours of practicing (cumulative, not per session), you’ll want to re-rosin maybe 3-ish times. 100
