In the wake of the Xbox layoffs, I wanted to extend my deepest thanks to Gaming for Everyone (G4E) for having me on as a game accessibility consultant, it was truly an honor. Working w/ G4E enabled me to consult on countless games, impact many roles in studios, and even earn 2 game credits 💙😭

every time blue sky logs me out of this app and doesn't remember my password the likelihood of me logging back in decreases. name another social media app that logs you out without a 'remember password' feature as much as this one does.

for anyone who's consumed ANY of my talks I have a question for you. are my talks technical? idk wtf 'technical' means in the context of design talks. like. I shouldn't have to show code for it to be 'technical' right????

just read an incredible comic by Gilly @/profesh_baby on the importance of masking even in 2026. more people are dying of covid than prostate and breast cancer COMBINED. I highly recommend you check it out: shorturl.at/uuu1D covid's still relevant and not going away #covid #n95 #ProtectYourCommunity
a drawing of many people protesting with many protest signs titled some final thoughts. all protesters are wearing masks. the signs read things like stop covid denial, each reinfection is a roll of the dice for symptomatic long covid, protect each other, each covid infection causes long-term immunocompromisation, the CDC says that 100,000 Americans are dying of covid a year- more than prostate and breast cancer combined, if you truly wanted to build and protect your community stop spreading a virus that hurts you and everyone else, fight Mass death, billionaires don't care about you, running homemade or commercial air purifiers reduces the amount of virus in indoor spaces, fighting Injustice is harder if you are sick or disabled, love your neighbor, 90% of long covid cases come from mild infections, wearing a n95 could save you from a lifetime of illness and pain.

There’s several reasons that business and public figures began immediately associating WFH with laziness and slacking, one is that these are things they already believe about disabled/chronically ill folk, and they hope you do, too.

in its conclusion the study says they need to investigate "why girls/women receive diagnoses of ASD later than boys/men." we are ignored and the only reason a lot of us even get diagnosed at all is because we fucking implode without support and tools. we have to break our nervous systems first!

I spoke to a few accessibility peers about role levels in our field and my take ways are: -Accessibility doesn't map to tech seniority levels well -Principal A11y roles don't work well in the IC track -It's difficult to communicate knowledge levels in this space -This is all capitalistic bullshit

on a call w/ my Republican mother I was complaining about the size of our loaner minivan. she said if we "threw some kids in there" we'd understand how nice the size is. I replied "I'm not going to snatch some kids off the street, I don't work for ICE!" Don't let them forget, be vocal, stay spicy 💅✊

In an hour I'll be having a potentially life changing procedure called Prolotherapy. Because of my hEDS, the connective tissue in my spine doesn't hold it in place. To stabilize it they'll be injecting sugar there to create an inflammation reaction to make scar tissue. Accepting all positive vibes!

This is an excellent analogy, because my recollection from grade school is that the pen on the right looks fun and exciting, and then you play with it for a few minutes and realize it's not actually useful for anything and in fact makes some tasks more cumbersome, and never think about it again.
