This is Oskar, the Orsak flatworm! This species is so wibbly that their larger wibbles have their own smaller wibbles along them, which I did my best to capture with crochet. [ #crochet #amigurumi #worm #flatworm #platyhelminthes #orsakflatworm #commsopen ]

A crocheted Orsak flatworm. The body is off-white with a thin pure white stripe along the back. Close to the edges, it turns orange, then dark orange at the very edge. Its sides are very wibbly, to the point that each of the larger swooping wibbles have many smaller wibbles along them. Wibbles within wibbles! Subsequent photos show the same flatworm from different angles and with differently-posed wibbles.

Probably starch spray or mix a cup of cornstarch into a bucket of water and soak the hat in that for 20-ish mins.... do not rinse, just shake off excess moisture and let it dry But starch spray is easier/quicker and less messy/gross

A crocheted flatworm with very wibbly, ripply sides and two little points resembling ears or horns at the front. The body is dark purple, with a stripe of pinkish-orange and then pale yellow around the edge. Subsequent photos show the same flatworm from different angles and with different levels of visual wibbliness to its sides. The wibbles can be posed into fewer big wibbles or lots of smaller wibbles!

💀 well it's only taken 12 years ..... >.> surgery to first fix an inguinal hernia is in 2 weeks...... Then we see if anything else was contributing to me not being able to sit long enough to sew for extended lengths without loads of pain

You're welcome!! If ya need a place to get alova suede, SYfabrics has it - tho not in flesh tones so you'll need to dye the white. Otherwise a 1mm minky will work too -- since newer plushies seem to be using that more. It's more cuddle friendly lol

Joggles.com used to sell alova suede (i think they called it "deer suede") in skin tones but they don't seem to carry it anymore Tho..... alova suede is very easy to dye into flesh tones - I've done it. Use a tiny bit of orange in the dye pot to get peachy tones. Add brown for darker tones

For a short time, I had the brushed tricot -- due to contract work to make prototypes for mass-made plushies..... but I ran out of it years ago. It's super difficult to get the actual fabric (or at least, I've never succeeded outside of what contracted work supplied me with lol)

Officially? It's a brushed tricot that is impossible to get one's hands on -- you can get a thinner version but it's not as thick or nice A close alternative is alova suede (aka suedecloth) - I hoard the stuff lol! Tho newer plushies appear to use a 1mm non-stretch minky
