Hundreds of Palestinians have gathered for mass funerals for some 105 Palestinians whose remains were recovered from beneath the rubble of buildings which Israel destroyed in Gaza City in October 2023.

The mourners gathered around the shrouded bodies- belonging to children, women and elderly people crushed by the debris of fallen residential towers- which emergency workers had recently recovered.

The ceremony is being held in the rubble of the Taj residential complex which Israeli war planes razed in the early days of its genocide in Gaza.

Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmoud reported that one man held the remains of his three-year-old son.
