New addition. My first water cooled 911. It's an entirely different car from my air cooled cars. Love it.

In Santa Barbara, CA there is an annual Christmas parade on Milpas Street. It is a wonderful community event that the entire city looks forward to and enjoys every year. It has been cancelled this year due to community fears of an ICE raid at the parade. We great yet? sbeastside.org/holiday-para...

If you have not seen it, the Masterpiece series Wolf Hall (Season 1) and Hall of Mirrors (Season 2) on PBS is just amazing. The story of King Henry VIII and his Lord Chancellor Thomas Cromwell. Just incredible writing and acting.

I just want to say that the 2025 US Open is a disaster. Between the course prep (the rough) and the weather. It's a shame. This is not a proper display of our national championship. Ugh

Finnish President Alexander Stubb's assessment of the current diplomatic situation and the way forward for Ukraine is encouraging. He says we need to "be Finnish, take a deep breath" and move forward. He is not as dire about current events as one might expect. He's a sensible and very smart guy.

If you have not seen it, see this morning's New York Times podcast interview by Ross Douthat of Steve Bannon. Very interesting discussion.

Since Justice Samuel Alito flew his American flag upside down when Biden was elected, I am considering doing the same with our flag on Monday when Trump is inaugurated.

I have my first client who lost her house in the Palisades fires. Also, an LA broker indicates that there is now a moratorium in place among all casualty insurance carriers stopping the issuance of any new policies, presumably in the greater LA/So Cal area.

The shell casings in the UnitedHealthCare killing were marked with the words "delay" and deny". I wonder what that could mean.....

I worked on a lease deal with Harbor Freight Tools for 6 months on behalf of a client who owns a shopping center. The deal was done and only required signatures. After the election Harbor Freight cancelled the deal due to Trump's tariff threats.
