It’s really pretty cool that one thing you can do to support people you like is ask your local library to get their book because it doesn’t cost you anything, it helps them, and the librarian gets to know someone actually wants to read a book and not just use the computer for Roblox

When Harris went on Call Her Daddy, Trump responded by trashing the host … who then doubled down with an episode highlighting GOP abortion restrictions. Rogan has recently said he’d never have Trump on, so there’s a good chance Trump attacks him too, with similar blowback.

I think Harris is going on Fox and Rogan because she is modeling what good leadership in a democracy should look like, where you are unafraid to speak to audiences of voters who might be unreceptive because that's your job, to be the President for the whole country. The contrast w/ Trump is glaring.

Bernie Sanders issues a statement thanking Kamala Harris for her new Medicare proposal.
WASHINGTON - Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Wednesday issued the following statement after Vice President Kamala Harris unveiled a proposal to provide federal funding to cover home care costs for older Americans, as well as an expansion of Medicare to include hearing and vision coverage:
Congratulations to Vice President Harris for announcing a bold vision to expand Medicare to cover not only home health care, but also vision and hearing.
It is no secret that we have a major crisis in home health care. Millions of seniors would prefer, when possible, to receive care in their homes rather than be forced into nursing homes. Kamala's plan is a major step forward not only in improving the quality of life for seniors and their families, but also in saving the health care system large sums of money.
Further, her plan to expand Medicare to cover the cost of vision and hearing is enormously important. In the wealthiest country on earth, millions of lower-income seniors today are unable to affo

And something like *75% of all credit hours* in US higher ed are taught by adjuncts. So the overwhelming majority of faculty members, and an even higher proportion of instruction, in colleges and universities is poorly-paid and precarious. This is grossly unjust, bad for education, bad for students.
