"Here," the witch said. She gave her girlfriend a small pearl. "I made it for you." "What is it?" "A small blessing. It can make a small change to you. Just think of what you want and swallow it." "Could it give me wings?" "That's too big." Her girlfriend swallowed the pearl, and began to purr.

Today is Venn Day, in celebration of the mathematician John Venn, born on this day in 1834. To commemorate the occasion, here’s a poem in the form of a Venn Diagram.
Poem title: At the Intersection

The poem is divided into two overlapping circles.

The left-hand circle is titled ‘me’ and the text reads:
the day we
went out to have
an ice-cream, we said nothing
just let our silence melt in
the air as we walked across the common
our love never tiring at all

The right-hand circle is titled ‘you’ and the text reads:
we should
have talked it over but
nothing ever seems to get
in your fat head. You are so
common that I wish we’d never met
at all and I’d married Tim instead

In the intersection of the poem (where the two circles overlap), the text reads:
we
have
nothing
in
common
at all

This week's tie is a promotional tie, for a tie company. Very meta.
A woman wears a patterned cardigan and shirt. Her tie is wide without diagonal stripes and the word tiesncuffsThe back of the tie from the previous photos. On the tongue of the tie it says ties ncuffs and gives the dimensions of the tie, and that it is made from polyester. Yum.

"Huh," said the dragon. "Would you care to explain?" "Yes, I'm not a princess all the time," said the milkmaid. "Only on bright spring days. Once they end, I turn back into me." "How come?" "Oh, I was bitten by a princess." "Again, how come?" "She couldn't help herself," the milkmaid grinned.
