The WAR ON WALKING has taken many forms around the world. It’s often as simple as how we signal who space is and isn’t for. Once our eyes are opened to all the ways we’ve prioritized cars over people, we can’t unsee it. Frustrating photo contributed by @stadsplanering.bsky.social. #WarOnWalking
Background photo from North Macedonia, where “sidewalks are mostly used to park cars” as explained by photo contributor Carl-Henrik Barnekow. Text says “Don’t buy the lie that there’s a war on cars. Chloe and her sunbeam for #caturday taxes.
A close photo of a mostly white cat laying on her side in the sunshine, with her eyes closed. She is on top of a orangey-brown wooden floor with her back against a glass door. Through the door, various garden flowers and tree are visible. So is a cloud-free blue sky. Of particular note, the sunbeams are shining through her ears, turning them a delightful shade of pink.

It's Caturday and I have an emotional support cat for you.
A mostly white cat with a few calico spots is curled on her side. She lays on a tan sisal rug which is on top of a mid-tone wood floor. She is positioned in front of an open front door with bright sunlight streaming in. The shadow of a bird window sticker can be seen. She understands nothing of politics and is very pleased with her lifestyle.
