Did she ask Shakira where all the money from her songs that was supposed to go to charity went instead?

This is so funny, the defender goes through him, makes contact and due to which Guimarães misses the shot, but still ball comes off Guimarães' backhill, at no point the defender gets the ball. Ref no penalty to Arsenal, VAR: checked and cleared. 😂

Gave Rice a 6/10 for the entire tournament. The same rating was given to Chalobah for his 6 minutes played in the entire tournament.

A terrific column from @sprtswtr.bsky.social: "The change needed to push American soccer forward is not an easy fix. OK, well, it is, but it requires a dedicated strategy and a collective belief that development, not greed, needs to be at the forefront." www.inquirer.com/soccer/world...

Want to win a World Cup, America? Start doing better by the kids. And their parents, too.
If there isn’t more of a fight to make sure that the status quo doesn’t become the legacy of this World Cup, history looks bound to repeat itself in four years.

The Aramco Young Player Award (yes you read that correctly), handed out by Aramco chairman and PIF governor Al-Rumayyan to Pau Cubarsi. A player who played an amazing tournament while his country was on fire and yesterday's training cancelled due to wildfire smoke. #Cubarsi

There’s been a lot of good and a lot of bad at this World Cup, but an overlooked disaster is @edaarons.bsky.social player ratings on the guardian. Football365 has regularly called out how silly player ratings are in general, but these have been a new low

A reminder that UEFA has more Russians on its committees and sub-committees than Fifa does, including Putin crony Alexander Dyukov, and has never suspended the Russian FA itself, which still attends its Congress.

Fifa’s shift from goal difference to head-to-head to decide groups is an inexplicably terrible decision that has needlessly killed or muted loads of final-round group games USA-Turkey would have tonnes on it, for one Now it’s a needless dead rubber www.independent.co.uk/sport/footba...

This baffling Fifa decision could ruin the World Cup’s famous group stage drama
The final round of group stage games will lack the drama of 2022, with a strange decision to revamp the tie-breaking rules likely to produce a number of dead rubbers

I do agree. It’s similar to the domestic cups where the same few teams make it to the final each year. With the wealth disparity only growing, it’s going to become more and more of a problem (just like in the real world!)

We've had enough. The press is one of the last guardrails against Gianni Infantino's autocracy. But Fifa does all it can to crush the media and prevent us from doing our work. An editorial from @josimarfootball.bsky.social. And please support us if you can.

The biggest obstacle investigative journalists face in 2026 is not the threat of SLAPPs or the ever-diminishing resources at their disposal. It is apathy, as if bad/fraudulent/criminal behaviour was now *expected* of anyone in a position of power and of all institutions. Expected, and accepted.

The PL's economic model is not broken - because there is no "economic model" to be broken, just an uncontrolled mess rife with accounting dodges. Villa sell a venue which only opened last December, making a 200% profit in the process. The buyer? Villa. No problem. Which is the problem.
