This is really the critical point: Firefox is packing its browser with AI slop functions by default; relying on a user actively choosing to turn it off. That isn't neutral - that is a political and ideological statement that they want more reliance on these tools

These features will be available first on Firefox Nightly – an unstable test version of the browser under development – before reaching all users on 24 February.

“When AI controls become available, the Block AI Enhancements toggle will be off by default,” a Mozilla spokesperson told Bleeping Computer.

Oh god, it’s worse. This is Open Ai dictating to the studios they can “opt out” of OUTPUTS. This isn’t even about the training, as Open Ai thinks it’s all theirs to use for free. The hubris of these thieves is just obscene. I can’t see them not getting sued for this, it’s just that ridiculous.

The new process would mean movie studios and other intellectual property owners would have to explicitly ask OpenAl not to include their copyrighted material in videos
