I think there's a lot of laughing at these people expressing sincere surprise at people not knowing about this song, but it seems to me deeper than that. They're not just surprised, they're *worried*, because it shows that some of the foundations of their worldview are shakier than they thought.

I left my dog Kurt with my parents after visiting today as there will be HVAC installers in the house the next few days, and it's weird how much coming home knowing he's not here feels like being a kid and knowing the parents are gone. He really does keep me in line on like bedtime and stuff haha.

A few weeks ago, I gave Kurt (my dog) some sausage from McD's. He seemed to like it, but I guess he took some of it (a strip of about 1/3 a patty) out to the yard, on the concrete pad at the bottom of the stairs, which he does sometimes with treats he doesn't feel like eating right then. ...1/2

Personally I think the fursuit fleas are harmless fun, but if there isn't some enterprising furry crafter out there making up fursuit flea collars to sell in dealer's den that's a real missed opportunity.

Took a week off work this past week. Never even turned on my gaming computer. Didn't write a single line of code. Climbed a bit. Visited family. Got a lot of reading done. I think I want to keep moving towards using the computer less, and more intentionally when I do.

Down 33lbs since XMas '25. Had a really encouraging moment today when I was posting my character ref for something and realized I'm getting close to actually having the idealized physique my char has in some art. :D Will take more hard work and discipline, but it's actually reachable.

Watched TLK for the first time in a really long time. The art style is a lot more simplified than I remembered, I've been spoiled by modern digital art, where TLK was sort of a bridge between traditional and digital. Music and main story moments hold up, though, and I did notice some new details. 💙

Not bad. The REAL correct answer here is SLC - both my parents are from Utah Mormon families, and I was raised in Wyoming and now live in Colorado. It's actually kinda surprising to me that Seattle folks are so similar.

I was I think in my late 20's when I finally realized that "It's all gone a-rye" is not an idiom, I'd just been mentally pronouncing 'awry' as 'aw-ree' my whole life and it never occurred to me that the proper pronunciation was that word because it was so far off of my expectations, haha. :P

Coyote vs Acme was funnier than I expected. I liked how they gave Wile a bit more personality than you get in the cartoons while still being true to the character. Also geeze there was some...they-know-what-they're-doing kinkbait for folks who are really into classic cartoon shenanigans. 😈

Hoooooooboy damn near deleted PROD infra for half a dozen apps thank god I did a test-run and double-checked. In my defense CloudOps sent me (and all RG owners) a script to intentionally delete infra in a tenant being spun down without noting that az cli has some surprising login / auth behaviors.

I wonder if furry will ever become normalized enough that service companies that notice somebody is a furry will ask for the fur name and make a note of it. It's always awkward when they ask, "Who referred us to you?" and it's like, "Oh, a guy I know. I don't...actually know his name." 😅
