I need to stop following normies. I bet they are less than 1% of my follows, but damn are they active with the Like button, I guess. My 'Popular With Friends' feed is getting more and more overlap with 'Catch Up'.

Speculating: Startup costs for the worst-enshittified products are relatively high, and it's difficult, especially in current economy, to get funding from sources that won't demand the kind of quick, high ROI that pretty much requires enshittification to fulfill.

I did them separately this year (got offered Flu vax before Covid was out for the season). Yeah both were super mild this year. Covid I think I got a liiiiiittle headachey the day after.

Whichever you think your software's typical user would expect, but KB (1000) will probably surprise the fewest regular people. If for some reason you need to express a 'true' KB, I think most people who would care about that would also know what KiB means. Maybe put it in tooltip or footnote etc.

I fiiiiinally let myself start FF7Remake since the third entry is on the horizon and been liking it a lot, more than I expected since original is a fave. I’ve still got an itch for a new FPS RPG, or something Arkane-ish, tho. Outer Worlds 2 was kind of meh.

I switched to very infrequent and small amounts a few years ago. The improvements are gradual and hard to notice. BUT It’s really telling when you have a few again after a long dry spell. You realize how shit it makes you feel.

Realized today I can use the rowing machine correctly. For the longest time I couldn’t because my belly got in the way lol. If I don’t cheat toooo much over the holidays I think I might get under 200lbs before new year. \o/

Reclaimed dog yesterday Today, changed the oil in my car and also redid the curb-facing edging on the front yard. Dadtivities accomplished, now I can just play video games and be full lazy the rest of the weekend, huzzah. :D

I tend to preserve files and folders when I move to a new computer. I'll make a new copy on the new system and do updates there, but the old stuff stays in place. :)

Poking around listening to old faves in my mp3 collection and realizing the modified date on a lot of these is over two decades old. This is like my generation's equivalent of having a bunch of old vinyls in the attic, heh.

I uuuuusually take my shoes off indoors, but it's ultimately moot as my dog does a fantastic job of gathering up dirt, leaves, and sticks from the yard and distributing them around the house for me. :P

Same! My theory is that there's a certain kinda person who sees e.g., old Disney movies, then matures enough to know that a dark aesthetic or hook nose doesn't actually mean a person is bad, BUT, they never grow out of the underlying idea that the superficial is valid shorthand for actual evil.

The adaptability. Yotes exist and thrive in so many different circumstances. You don't often see that in medium-to-larger critters. I also really love how they're comfortable doing their own thing but also really happily be social, which is a different kind of adaptability I guess. :)

Irish breakfast just black or with a little milk and honey is my favey fave, especially on cozy gray days or if I'm feeling under the weather. I still like my espresso in the morning but yeah, I go through a lot of that tea heh.

It's an oft-unstated premise of conservatism that it's fine to enshrine their cultural norms into law because that culture is the universal norm and only the most deviant don't share it. The death of the monoculture in the internet age aggressively challenges that.
