Had a similar experience when people pointed out that the lyrics of Baby It's Cold Outside share.google/KVt1HSHNtji5... were effectively about date rape. It then occurred to me that I was raised in the 70s and 80s to believe the myth of romantically chasing down women until "love flowered."

Several people are mad about this so I will briefly clarify! No, I’m not saying a novel is comparable to a real-life assault in any way. No, I’m not saying the author is bad or responsible for bad things. I am saying I’ve seen real bad stuff come from “consensual” student-faculty relationships.

I think the Senate Judiciary Hearing today, where they tried…in vain…to smear Jack Smith, was better than anything else that could have taken place to boost voter turnout for democracy. I think it reminded a lot of people just how much they hate these swindlers…and why.
