Doesn't NTR have that? Children of twins subset perhaps? In the form of parent personality - child personality / or parent personality - child temperament. It might be that the children of twins is not a big subsample though

Excited to be presenting this Thursday at #BGA2026! Join me at 14:45 in UvA 3-4 LT2 for the Education & Cognition session: I’ll present our preliminary findings on environmentally mediated genetic effects on children’s language/literacy - and yes, we also looked at parental personality!

When utilized in literature review, LLMs consistently 1. fail to mention female authors in female-led literatures, 2. insist that men are more influential or more heavily cited when this is contradicted by objective citation counts, and 3. attribute women’s work to hallucinated male scholars.

A study in @nature.com shows that while complex traits are polygenic in population at large, they have distinct architecture at tails, where rare variants of large effect act as key drivers. Not a surprising finding but neat to see it demonstrated in large UK Biobank cohort across traits & methods.🧪

Pleitropy (a set of known variants influencing the target 'positive' trait yet also potentially influencing another unknown -perhaps negative- outcome is already concern by itself (even if you don't care about the ethics and exacerbeting existing inequalities part of it which obviously you should)

Thank you, Fiona, as always. I have seen Marleen's GWAS already, but it is potentially underpowered... and Ted's sum stats are currently not available. I will check out the follow-up links you have sent. It is a bit more difficult to find GWASes looking into other big 5 than neuroticism it seems

GPT-5 regularly asks you why you are not citing its work. GPT-5 always believes your estimator is biased. GPT-5 has more of a comment than a question. Sometimes GPT-5 tells you stories about grad school and expresses regret about getting a PhD. GPT-5's mom wonders when it will start making money.

Not sure who came up with "Manhattan Plot", but in 2014 I coined the alternative term "Nijmegen Plot" (inspired by the Dutch town where I live) to describe underwhelming results from our earliest genome-wide association scans of language/reading traits.

Incorporating Facebook likes and temporal information (e.g., monthly changes in word use) did not improve prediction model performances, even though they yielded insightful associations with survey-based wellbeing measures.

Next, we applied machine learning models to predict survey-based wellbeing scores. In these models, modest convergence between model predictions and traditional self-report wellbeing measures (r = 0.12) was found.
