Fog on the Canal Grande #DailyVenice #Venezia #Venice #fog
Colour photo looking along a wide green-tinged canal. In the foreground on the left, the top half of a mooring post, made of three massive dark wooden beams held together by a rusted metal chain. Behind it, on the opposite side of the canal, is a stretch of palazzi, hazy and indistinct in the mist. On the left of the frame, a forest of much smaller thinner mooring posts, with the occasional wooden jetty and small boat in between them, with a row of muted pastel coloured palazzi behind, stretching round to a vanishing point shrouded in dense milky fog. The sky above is grey with a couple of brave specks of sunlight attempting to break through.
