The basketball nature of Super Rugby always left me cold. It was just boring seeing teams score so many points, even if the games were close in the end. There’s an assumption that lots of try’s equals entertainment

Fair bit of change but great to see a talented old bloke in Faletau and a talented young bloke in Young included! What do we make of CVZ’s selection?

Think we’ve seen the good and the bad of this #Chairboys system in this game. First half, fluid, intent, midfielders first pass forward, took chances Second half, midfielders deeper, less intent to go forward, finding it difficult to get out. Lots to be positive about, although Rovers very poor.

Am I the only one who wish they’d just put GK, defence, midfield and then attack rather than go by the number order? I haven’t got the mental bandwidth to work out formations😂😂

Simon Jones @seimon76.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Also the fact that there are at least three options for where the ball is going to go. Sheedy lurking behind for a pull back that we often run holds the defence as well

Giving some younger players game time is important, who will have learnt tonight what the standard is. Just annoying as we could’ve crushed them after we scored our sixth try. Hopefully will pay off in the medium to long term for those young players that came on tonight.

Annoying game tonight. Cardiff very comfortable and then just dipped in intensity and focus. Just a word for Sheedy tonight who was so calm in key moments that it almost goes unnoticed. Also Lloyd off the bench looking like an absolute tyro in the back row. Onto the next one #YmlaenCaerdydd💙🖤

Tom Howe is set for his senior professional debut off the bench for Cardiff tonight at 18 years 300 days. This time last year he was playing for Cardiff U18 & Ysgol Glantaf and wasn't old enough to play for the Rags. He only did his A Levels in May. Remarkable rise, huge talent

Here’s the Cardiff side to face Zebre; - Hughes in at hooker - Botham joins the back row - Bowen and Millard are a new wing partnership - Potential debut for Howe - Emanuel on to the bench Few new faces but overall a strong team for the home opener!

Is there a reason why there’s been very little discussion about the Premier League applying their own ownership rules to the Man City case? Surely if the appeal fails the ownership need to be judged under those criteria alongside any fines and points deductions?

Some early game struggles under the high ball, but getting Mason Grady into the game on first phase ball produced some excellent results in the second half up until his injury. This is what we want to see so much more of this season.

There’s a really interesting option of rotating Millard/Malan ay 13 with Grady in game for different strike plays so that he can be more infield. Will be interesting to see if we do this or whether this is way too complex😂😂

Can’t help but feel a timid first half where the system didn’t work and #Chairboys were too deep led to a win being thrown away (despite not being in front). Fred going more central, Scowen being the only holding midfielder and Parker all made a difference. Link between attack and defence improved.
