Ellen Street in #Cardiff's former Newtown district, aka 'Little Ireland' 'Peerless' Jim Driscoll was born here. In retirement he was landlord of the Duke of Edinburgh pub (white building on the right in the distance) The area was demolished in 1967, only street names and a wall remain #thenandnow

The Mitre pub, on the corner of Bridge Street & Mitre Place, Llandaff Renowned for its scrumpy, The Mitre dated back to at least the 1830s. Had a large yard at the rear which later served as a car park Closed in the mid 80s and was sold by Brains to property developers #thenandnow
