If you can’t celebrate your own achievements by posing with your Teaching History article then when can you?! Always such an amazing feeling when you hold the physical copy of something you’ve written. It was great to get my copy in the post yesterday @histassoc.bsky.social #teachinghistory

Huge congratulations to Sarah and Andrea on their Teaching History article. Great example of how we can champion lesser known voices in history, on this occasion, and so pleased to see the ESIS report being put into action. 👏🏼 @sehartsmith.bsky.social @endsexisminschools.bsky.social

History community: please share as I’m not using X any more! Inspiring CPD tailored to experienced teachers who want to grapple with ‘new’ ideas (or challenge how new they really are), refresh pedagogy and expand networks. Brought to you by @histassoc.bsky.social, @andrewshtbc.bsky.social and me.

My first term out of the classroom has been a delight. Working in the amazing History team at Teach First has shown how rewarding it is to dedicate and use your experience to help others starting out on their teaching journey….

Fantastic sessions at our Autumn Institute Hub Networking Day. Great to see trainees’ reflections on their training so far and how they came to us on TF. Primary and secondary, across all phases and subjects - brilliant day. So excited to see them in the classroom after October half term.

Bayeux was another highlight on our #Normandy adventure. Ticked the Bayeux Tapestry off the bucket list. Also interesting to see how much architecture survived WW2 compared to neighbouring Caen due to how objectives in the Battle of Normandy played out. #historyteacher

Had a wonderful time exploring Normandy this summer. The remnants of the Mulberry Harbour at Arromanches were a highlight, especially as a relative of mine worked on building them in Bucklers Hard before they went across. (So good we went twice hence different skies!) #historyteacher #normandy
