Richard Keogh @rkeogh.bsky.social · 04/08/2025At the end of term my daughter, T, excitedly told us about Mary Kingsley. T seems most interested in "girls" being in History. So, after seeing @kat-oc-kearey.bsky.social post yesterday, we got going on some proper good stories! #historyteacher 150
Richard Keogh @rkeogh.bsky.social · 03/08/2025Very enjoyable but parts felt a bit flat. However, from a historical anti-colonialism POV, very powerful (if a bit slightly rough around the edges) but the level of historical knowledge needed is a big reminder of the need for context to access novels lole this. Anyone else read it? 000

Richard Keogh @rkeogh.bsky.social · 23/06/2025Had our brilliant Leavers' Assembly today. One of the most melancholic days of the year. Seeing them all walk off is quite something, though this year's lot didn't really want to leave. I think that says a lot. #year11leavers 010
Richard Keogh @rkeogh.bsky.social · 13/06/20252/4 GCSE History topics now transformed into booklets. Lots of work but the first one went so well. Lots of reading, structured tasks, and embedded exam question practice. And after feedback from very intelligent y11s, they wanted more "space" for their own structure so I've added more blank spaces. 040

Richard Keogh @rkeogh.bsky.social · 03/06/2025For the most part, work is just work and it's just a thing. Richard Keogh @rkeogh.bsky.social · 19/01/2025I love good narrative history books but I'd also like way more historiographical books.
