If I want one thing from my intermittent fame, it is to be as fondly remembered as Peter Lorre was; a staunchly pro-union actor who animators kept putting in cartoons as way of middle finger to their bosses. I can think of no greater honour.

Remember: Wealth cannot be separated from power. We're seeing in real time how the extreme concentration of wealth is distorting our politics, rigging markets, and granting unprecedented power to a handful of people. Taxing the rich isn't just an economic issue, it's a defense of our democracy.

Americans are so corny bc y'all will call KPop Demon Hunters, Turning Red, Forgotten Island, or Pretty Pretty Please I Don't Wanna Be A Magical Girl "cringe" but when One Piece or Chainsaw Man does it, y'all will call it "peak" (btw I love all six of them)

as much as I don't wanna judge a movie that hasn't come out yet, knowing that this same studio also canceled The Owl House, a well-made animated TV show with the same premise but with well-written LGBTQIA+ representation, just makes it harder not to honestly

despite flopping in the box office internationally (but doing so well in the Philippines), this being one of Dreamworks' highest-rated and most beloved movies by the public at least gives me hope 🙏🏽

Rotten Tomatoes score for Forgotten Island: 95% in the Tomatometer (critics score), 96% in the Popcornmeter (audience score)

Figuring out sleeping arrangements with a mermaid guest can be a little daunting, but Margie's up for the task! Atti will take some convincing Sally belongs to @maclanahan.bsky.social #hetherev #sallystream #margie #atti #rainfrog #mermaid

Margie is sitting at the poolside with Sally and Atti

Margie, pointing to the EZ-Up they have by the pool: "Oooh, let's camp out under the EZ-Up tonight!"

Atti: "No."

Margie: "Aw c'mon, it came with walls, we can make a tent!"

Atti: "We are /not/ camping."

Margie: "Why not?"

Atti: "I don't want to sleep outside."

Margie: "What about Sally?"

Atti: "She can sleep in a tub."

Margie, looking incredulous: "The tub that's /upstairs?/"

Atti pauses, unable to come up with a valid argument. The caption reads: Destroyed by facts and logic

30 Minutes Later

Margie places Atti's shoebox house on top of a bucket inside their newly tent-ified EZ-Up. She's in her PJs

Margie: "You're technically not even sleeping outside...drama king."

Atti looks annoyed but doesn't retort

Margie sits on a sleeping bag next to Atti's shoebox + bucket throne, she has a bowl of popcorn out between herself and Sally, who is floating in the nearby pool in a flamingo pool floatie

Bonus picture of Sally floating in the flamingo floatie

being in animation, its not from AI. the streaming bubble bursting cuz everyone hopped on the grain cuz it undermined unions, less regulations and more mergers are what lead to the loss. AI is just what people think but it started way before that
