Selling peat isn't banned in the UK. That's a #myth. We have a timeline of everything that's happened so far when it comes to peat legislation. Peat extraction has been an issue for decades, and it remains legal. See the timeline 👇 peatfreepartnership.org.uk/who-we-are/l... #PeatFree #Gardening

So the #peat extraction counter on @peatfree.bsky.social peatfreepartnership.org.uk has just topped 200,000m3. That's around 80 Olympic swimming pools' worth of peat dug from irreplaceable peat bogs already this year, and it's only March. Just think about that for a moment 😶 #endpeatsales

Tiny supermarket in Ruka, Finland and LOOK how easy bottle return is!! Bottles go in, each worth a set amount, at the end you get a voucher that you van use against your shopping. This has been the case for the past 15+ years we’ve been going to Finland. How are we so far behind? #recycling

Spent an hour or so litter picking @barryisland today… it was much needed but I’m not sure I’d have paid to park to do it (in the cold wind with a willing 4 year old). Sad to think most of the beaches we litter pick will require paid parking under current plans @lisburnett.bsky.social
