Pleased that we in the Vale of Glamorgan continue to support Ukraine and its citizens who need a place of safety during the invasion.

With a lifelong passion for the natural environment my other half often returns home with some super images. Hobbies (+dragonfly) at Cosmeston Country park yesterday. They are probably only here for a short while now as like other birds they only visit for specific periods of the year.

Thank you to the person who shared with me a video taken of our latest lighting effect in Subway Road tunnel. 🤩

Abuse and intimidation, is never acceptable. I love a chat with local people, particularly on the bus to and from work. Sometimes though personal safety is an issue. If you travel a distance to my home to intimidate or harass me you will be reported to the police. Sadly I’ve had to do that today.

Today we said goodbye to our friend and colleague Councillor Howard Hamilton. The Council flags were flown at half mast for a man of deeply held values who cared passionately for all in need and worked tirelessly on their behalf.

Sometimes I visit interesting places and meet amazing people. A semi-derelict site will now provide garaging for TfW’s gorgeous new rolling stock and guarantee the sustainability of rail travel into the future. Alun, is the driving force that has turned around rail services in Barry. Diolch Alun.

‘Today I’m going to be a pirate’. Early bus to Cardiff and bumped into a local teacher in full pirate attire. “It’s our book day” she explained. Would have loved to join her. 🏴‍☠️

Always an anxious moment when vehicles are blocking the bus driver’s view of your stop. Usually wave frantically as they approach. Today the driver waved back 🤩. Lovely start to the day on the 93 bus. ❤️ @cardiffbus.bsky.social drivers

The pain and fear expressed by trans friends and the concerns of allies, far more knowledgeable than me, reflect the potential consequences of the recent Supreme Court ruling. In time I will be required to make a public comment but for now this image says it all. Working the weekend if needed xx

Every Saturday Labour Councillors hold a surgery at West House in Penarth from 10-11. I hear that tomorrow there is a protest planned. There is absolutely no need for protest. The kettle will be on, we may even have biscuits. Call in for a chat about any queries or concerns or just for a cuppa.

Much excitement among passengers on the electric @cardiffbus.bsky.social today. Collective opinion is smoother and quieter journey. 👏👏

In LGBT History Month I remember Margaret Alexander the first woman and LGBTQ+ Mayor and Leader of the Vale of Glamorgan Council. I told people about her at a LGBTHM event at the Senedd a few years ago. If you want to be an ally there is a lot more information at: www.youtube.com/@PrideCymru/...
