Obviously it isn't but it's this weird mishmash of incredibly overproduced areas (the forest, the town) and weirdly simplified elements like the climbable vines. Some of the NPCs look like they spent all of the texture budget on Link and didn't have anything left for them.

Yeah snouts are weird. The brain is expecting something in the space where the snout slopes down so I'd say it either needs the nostrils raising, more shaping and definition to the snout itself, or some kind of scales or patterning. Basically anything that helps define the shape of the area more.

I don't want to be rude about something that clearly had a lot of work put into it but it looked like they AI generated the whole thing. Endlessly busy visuals and weirdly wet skin textures that are then paired with character designs that don't deviate enough from the originals for the new art style

Still working away at this lil guy. I'm not entirely happy with the hair but it's good enough for now; I also need to try some different toon shaders as my current method has a lot of drawbacks. I'm about to start working on the face rig though, so I can breathe some life into him at last.

I love DS2 so much and yeah this pretty well describes why it just hits different to the other ones. That one guy in the Frozen Crown DLC who follows you around being a little birthday boy then backstabs you when you reach the switch you need and hightails it? Absolute cinema.
