Note taking in D&D must have been in the zeitgeist. Gnome Stew just published an article on it and I had to go back and make rewrites to mine to avoid a direct comparison. Mine is still distinct, but trying to be unique and not be accused of copying.

Went to the doctor yesterday and he told me to schedule an annual physical in December. I go to the checkout desk with that written note and she says I already had my annual physical in May so I can't schedule it. I assured her that my May visit was not a physical but she said it was coded as one.

I wrote an article on "how to take notes in D&D" tapping into a notetaking methodology I learned in my journalism class. I finished it, it is scheduled to be published but I am now antsy about it because honestly, I'm the worst notetaker in RPGs.

In 2 and some years from now if we are able to take back the White House and Congress, it will still be YEARS before we rebuild the systems that Trump and the Republicans destroyed. We lost so much institutional knowledge in his purges. Research that was shut down can't just start up.

Writing an article that touches on negotiating in RPGs and I think I wrote a PoliSci paper on this. Too often negotiations in RPGs devolve into ultimatums. "Do this or we kill you." Or treat the NPCs like idiots "Give up the power and I'll give you this shiny thing." Happens in politics all the time
