There's a basic rule to the linguistic divide in Montreal- you have to try. Speak the other language, meet the stranger halfway. Have respect for your neighbours. It's why Air Canada CEO Michael Rousseau can never be a Montrealer. He lives here, but will never be one of us. Tant pis pour lui.
