Sunil @sdvr.bsky.social · 2hDefinitely think this is a possibility. Not entirely sure how I can avoid the stressors that are leading to it though. Unfortunately they aren’t things that can just be avoided. 120
Sunil @sdvr.bsky.social · 4hJust checked: Zotero storage plans are 200MB free, 2GB and 6GB plans for not outrageous pricing. (Or if your institution offers a WebDAV server that could probably host it for free) 000
Sunil @sdvr.bsky.social · 4hDepending on how you store/sync papers I think Zotero for iPad will work just fine. I originally discounted it during my PhD due to the need for Zotfile and local sync. But using Zotero’s own sync server, I think it’ll work fine? Zotero’s own pdf reading/annotation has massively improved 100
Sunil @sdvr.bsky.social · 4hI’ve asked for it to be escalated as a complaint because the website should have at least given me the option of purchasing a full fare single/return and didn’t even do that. Can’t say I hold out much hope though. 110
Sunil @sdvr.bsky.social · 4hYes - the initial rejection was because “wrong type of ticket” after I’d tried the refund via the website - but the rejection proper was from customer service! I‘d explained the situation and supplied the pdf of the replacement ticket, showing times of purchase and trains (1 day before original) 110

Sunil @sdvr.bsky.social · 6hUnder significant time pressure, I ended up booking via Trainline. Tried to claim a refund from LNER (sans £10 fee) - rejected because the replacement was booked via somewhere else. Even though LNER's website wouldn't let me book it when it should have. Fucking TERRIBLE customer experience. 220
Sunil @sdvr.bsky.social · 6hIt also didn't let me book a new ticket for any train that day except diverted ones getting in many hours too late. There were plenty of TPE and Northern/Avanti/Scotrail options, but LNER's website wouldn't let me book them. Not even as an expensive open ticket, which should be unrestricted. 110
Sunil @sdvr.bsky.social · 6hBritain's fragmented railways are UTTERLY infuriating. Booked advance ticket via LNER website for wrong day. Realised day before, when I intended to travel. Tried to rebook via website, usually £10 fee plus fare difference, but it wouldn't offer me that option... 110
