This is not written in response to an accusation or anything. Just something that's been on my mind. To Love the Stars too Fondly is a tough read for some, and that's perfectly okay. If you have any questions about content warnings, my DMs are always open ❤️

Terra is not defined by her trauma, and neither are you.

Trauma is complicated, and so is life. It's not a secret that Terra is the victim of a hate crime that happens before the book begins. I make a lot of jokes about Terra being the "Traumatized Barista", and she'd call herself that too. Humor is a way to cope with tragedy, but it doesn't define her, nor does tragedy define you or me. There is always hope to heal, and that's the journey we take with her.

Romanticizing it helps no one. But while it does put your life into hard mode, you CAN aspire to be something more.
